KSCO Air Support Unit

Picture
PROJECT OVERVIEW video
We have a team of five UW students working with Microsoft employees to build a utility web application for the King County Air Support Unit where they can easily log and access data about their flights, helicopter maintenance, and personnel training.

The Air Support Unit is responsible for all aerial police activities in King County including search and rescue, patrol, and car chases. The staff currently uses paper binders and whiteboards to record the aforementioned data, an inefficient system that lends itself poorly to generating insightful analytics to improve operational efficiency. Our team is working on making their jobs easier so that they can focus on protecting King County rather than laborious administrative tasks.

Ended: Spring 2020
